Dr. Shariq Haider completed his MD (University of Saskatchewan), followed by Internal Medicine Residency Training at University of Toronto, and Infectious Disease Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital USA. He completed further training in Tropical Medicine at London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, London UK. He has been on Faculty at McMaster University Hamilton Ontario Canada since 2001, currently an Associate Professor in Medicine and Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program McMaster University.

Dr Haider’s research Interests are in the field of Infections in Immunocompromised Hosts: HIV, Bone Marrow Transplant, and Cancer Patients. He leads the Transplant/Malignant Infectious Disease Service at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Center Hamilton Ontario.
