Edmond-Jean Bernard is Assistant Professor in Gastroenterology at the University of Montreal. He is an active investigator in clinical trials in the CHUM of Montreal. His areas of interest are clinical trials related to IBD, in particular those related to disease recurrence, endoscopic surveillance and patient drug response as well as GI clinical trial methodology. He is also involved in research involving the microbiome and host immunologic responses in IBD. He was co-director of CMIIM, a patient centric clinic for IBD patients in Montreal (2017-2021). He is co-director of the CHUM clinical IBD unit.
